Having skipped her classes, Freddie spent the entire morning at the enchanted lake. Scrolling through her phone, she’d been looking for a song to listen to; something to get her mind off of all the goody-goodies that surrounded her. Goodness, how annoying they were with their smiles, and cheery attitudes. She could only take so much of it. Why, did she choose the change in environments again? The thought of the food came to her mind. The oh so delicious strawberry cheesecakes, and variety of chocolate covered fruits. And being able to use her magic? Bonus. Why couldn’t they have these things on the isle? Oh right. They were villains, and stripping them of magic and other luxuries were a good mechanism to use for the Auradonians to remain safe.

The sound of the waterfall wasn’t as soothing as she hoped it would be. You’d think it would be since this was a beautiful, serene place. Almost surreal really. She didn’t even consider that a spot like this could even exist. Sticking her earbuds into her ears, she turned up the music until the volume was maxed, and watched the water flow. She then leaned against one of the posts, near the edge of the platform, rested her head against it, and folded her arms over her chest. Bare feet were placed in the water, one moving idly back and forth, causing the water to ripple, splash, and swirl. It was cool to the touch, gradually seeming to warm up as her limbs adjusted to the temperature. She couldn’t swim, so this was the best she could do, at least for now.

There was a look of deep thought on her face, as she sat there contemplating, wondering real purpose she had for allowing herself to come here. Was there some real potential in Auradon becoming her new home, or was it just because of the food? The food was a definitely While she attempted to come up with another possible reason to attempt aligning herself with the AKs, the movement of a shadow to her right had been caught in her periphery.

Her head snapped in the direction, her adrenaline kicking in, and her heart rate picking up. It was only one of her ‘friends,’ and she relaxed again, removing one of her earbuds, and turning down her music. Shifting her gaze to the water, her yellow-green hues were filled with annoyance. She had a feeling she wouldn’t have been alone for long, and instinctively knew that more would be coming to join her. However, there was a reason her shadow had sought her out, perhaps to give her some kind of information.

“What have you found,” she asked the shadow creature, only to be greeted with a growl, and then a bunch of whispers, that most would have thought to be gibberish. What she had been told, more or less as usual, didn’t pique her interest. Even some of the things about the couples hadn’t. Why should it? They weren’t important. She didn’t want to be involved in that kind of thing.

She sighed as the shadow continued to rambled, annoyingly closing her eyes, and tilting her head to the left. “Stop,” she said, and it stopped talking. Opening her eyes slightly, she turned her head toward it. “Is there not anything important in this so called ‘report’ of yours?” The creature then let her know that she was being looked for, and with an agitated groan, she waved her hand dismissively, sending it about its business. She wasn’t going back to the school yet, the Auradonians weren’t missing her that much. Though her shadow had gone, she felt as if she were being watched. Or maybe it could have been someone else approaching? She didn’t know, nor did she want to care. Perhaps she was just being a little paranoid.

Most of the AKs were certainly incredibly agitating. But some of the "good boys" were also an interesting change. Whether good or bad, she had boys dropping at her feet, but the good ones seemed easier to steer into a trap. While it was true that the AKs were scared of the VKs -- Rina included -- she was good at manipulating them into believing she was nothing to be scared of. She was good at making most anyone believe she was nothing to be scared of. But she was also Hades' daughter. He was the god of death, as was she, and she could very much take a soul and make that person hers for eternity if she wanted.

Unfortunately, she had to keep her toes in line and not reap souls until the villains took over Auradon. Everyone knew Mal and her three bozos had been given the task of stealing Fairy Godmother's wand for that purpose, but she highly doubted they'd succeed. Mal was the most feared VK on the Isle -- that didn't necessarily make her the right one for the job.

Evil intentions or no, Rina could still admire beauty. Which was why she skipped out on class (obviously not Remedial Goodness, Underworld forbid) to come down to the Enchanted Lake. Everyone would be in class, so she would be alone, and that's what she wanted at that moment. Peace from the overly cheerful bunch. Too much happy was misery.

But when she arrived at the lake, who should be there but shadow bitch. Odd, unnatural shadows surrounded the girl and she spoke to them, as was usual almost every time the goddess saw her. Catrina rolled her eyes, putting her hands on her hips. "Talking to your little shadows again? Don't you ever get tired of speaking to things with nothing to say?" she asked, not really interested in the response.

Freddie sighed at the sound of Catrina's voice, tilting her head slightly to the left side. How did she manage to skip class the same day as this girl, she won't quite understand. "Why, yes, but unfortunately for me, the thing I'm tired of talking to is still here," she retored, tossing one of her pigtails over her shoulder. She kept her gaze foward, finding no need to dignify the other female with eye contact. She was grinning, fully aware that even though Catrina wasn't interested in her response, she definitely heard it, and a nerve was possibly struck.

Crossing her legs at the ankles, she leaned forward, placing her elbows on her thighs, and her chin on the knuckles of her hands. She cleared her throat, yellow-green eyes focused on everything, but Catrina. The goddess was pretty; however, Freddie was not going to stroke the girl's ego more than she did herself. A thought occurred, and she snickered, before quickly containing herself, and shifting her mind elsewhere. The last thing she needed to do was even attempt explaining what had gone through her mind, not that the other female would ask, or care.

She moved her feet back and forth in the water, causing ripples, and small splashing sounds. The water she hadn't touched felt cooler, until she would become adjusted to it again. Though she had company, as unwanted as it was, she was still rather relaxed; content even. She found herself grinning, proud of herself for not letting the goddess ruin her mood like she usually does.

The goddess could only roll her eyes. There was no surprise Freddie was trying to get under Rina's skin -- to be frank, it wasn't difficult. She had her daddy's temper when it came to stupidity and Rina believed if you looked at the word stupid in the dictionary, the voodoo girl's face would be right next to it. Then again, she suspected Freddie had a bit of a crush on her. Who could blame her? Catrina knew she was hot stuff, even if she didn't swing that way.

Case in point. Freddie began grinning for absolutely no reason. "The fish giving your toes a little action? I guess that's the only way you can get some." The goddess eyed the silver streaks in Freddie's black hair, none too impressed. She didn't know what the girl was thinking when she chose to do that, but she appeared as more a skunk than cute.
