Mirror Mirror, On The Wall
The Black Cauldron
Personality & Appearance
Seth is generally considered not a pleasant person, to say the least. His sense of humor is dark and twisted. He is actually a lot like his father in terms of many ways. He is certainly evil by nature. He was taught the theoretical approaches to dark magic on the Isle and is more than happy to test them out. Overall he judges people by usefulness and ability to tolerate them. Most he honestly finds annoying. In addition, he holds a highly fundamental view of what it means to be a magus. He believes a very high bar for a magus, separating them from even other villains. He believes magic is meant to reign supreme and the repression of it is foolish. He holds a similar belief towards the villains and the barrier. He wants nothing more than to see Auradon covered in dark magics, a fitting end to the kingdom. He also has a strong desire for the sword Dyrnwyn, a sword which can only be wielded by those "pure of heart." His stance is pure of heart does not equal pure good and it should be his.
Seth's usual colors consist of black and sometimes red. His hair is a dark color and he mirrors that with his outfits. He usually is not smiling, preferring to keep a blank, impassive face. He has a tendency to glare at people while evaluating and gives off a general "I don't care" vibe.
History & Powers
Much like his father, Seth was born to be a powerful sorcerer. His father was certain that some day the magical barrier would weaken and as a result enough magic would seep through it could be blasted through. All his life Seth was trained in magecraft for the sole purpose of breaking free, recovering The Black Cauldron, and taking over Auradon. As a result Seth knew most of the dark magic spells by heart.
Seth kept to himself during his time in Auradon. His family lived away from most. One thing he hated was Mal, Maleficent's daughter. While magic failed, somehow he was able to sense the darkness in people. One would have thought that Mal, being the daughter of Maleficent, would have an impressive darkness, one he could respect. But no. Mal disappointed Seth with what he found to be weakness. As a result he harbored a strong hatred for the girl. She was worse than useless as far as he was concerned.
When it came to traveling to Auradon, Seth saw great chance in this. He quickly discovered that his natural magic was more specialized into the death and shadow magics. It did not shock him of course. Since then he's been playing with it, creating life out of nothingness in a horribly macabre way. His power was most valuable to him. Now he has set out on a new goal. He plans to find the corpses of the Huntsmen of Annuvin, ruthless warriors who via blood pact were given power by his father, and raise them as Cauldron Born. If they were so powerful alive, and the magic granted them the strength of their comrades, then perhaps as undead they could be exactly the sort of monsters Seth needed.
Much like Arawn, is proficient in black magic and shapeshifting. He also has the ability to smell the evil in someone's heart.
